🔥 Our Origin: Passing of a Friend One Final Exam, One First Cigar
Years ago, I lost one of my closest friends — Ivan Ferrero. He was more than a friend; he was a brother in spirit. Ivan loved golf. It was his sanctuary, his challenge, his joy. After his passing, I picked up a set of clubs to honor his memory. What started as a tribute became a new chapter in my life. I didn’t just play — I fell in love with the game.
My journey with cigars and golf didn’t begin at the same time — but they both found me during pivotal moments in life.
I remember the day clearly. I had just completed my final undergraduate exam — the last step in a long and challenging journey. A friend handed me a cigar to celebrate. It wasn’t just a smoke; it was a moment. The weight of accomplishment, the quiet satisfaction, the flavor of success — all wrapped up in one slow, deliberate draw. That cigar marked a turning point. Something about it stayed with me.
That was the beginning of something deeper. Over the next 20 years, I immersed myself in both worlds — developing my golf game and refining my palate for cigars. I studied the craft, traveled to lounges and events, and connected with fellow enthusiasts across the country. I wasn’t just enjoying a hobby — I was living a lifestyle.
